This is live video from OakForShor.
Video shows how protestors were kettled as the tried to move through the YMCA building and exit away from the police cordon.
Greetings to all people everywhere
Over the next week events may take a course, which for some may seem unacceptable,
We refer to the supreme court hearing regarding the european arrest warrant for Julian Assange, journalist and publisher of Wikileaks, this February first and second.
If the supreme court upholds the extradition of Julian Assange, may we offer a number of legal ways in which supporters of Julian and Wikileaks can show their support
Along with the outcome of the supreme court hearing , the passage of sopa and pipa should also be held in distain as governments seek to throttle the last vestiges of freedom from the internet we all know and love so dearly.
Firstly may we suggest revisiting Op Paperstorm.
In this operation which has been highly successful in past protests,
activist use facsimile message to protest by sending messages directly to politicians and law makers.
Make leaflets and paste them in prominent locations in your community
Spray paint your message so all can see on government buildings
Make adhesive stickers and place them again in prominent spaces
Second , we suggest flash mobs.
Flash mobs have been a way in which large numbers of people from all walks of life are able to protest against injustices by turning up at locations where their presence can be most felt.
Spend the day at the largest furniture store in your area, make your self comfortable and let your children run wild. Try out the beds, the comfortable chairs, in fact try everything.
If visiting a Swiss furniture outlet is not your thing, book a test ride in a Swiss car, see what it red lines at, and for how long.
The main purpose is to agitate.
Organize your people
Use all of the social media to great a wave of activism
Make your feelings known as to the gross injustices that take place in the name of justice
Stand as one be divided by zero
Make this an event to remember
As in the not to distant future, activism in the name of free speech will be deemed a crime punishable by citizenship removal and indefinite detention
January 25, 2010′s headlines spoke only of despair, citing the recent earthquake in Haiti, an airplane crash, and empty promises in President Obama’s upcoming State of the Union address.
January 25, 2011 is now recognized as the true beginning of the Arab Spring, inspired by Tunisia’s revolution, catalyzed by Wikileaks and continually enabled by Anonymous and other open-information groups such as Telecomix.
January 25, 2012 marks a day which has seen recent international consolidations of power in response to a year which witnessed so much hope. Internet censorship in the name of anti-piracy has made its way onto US legislative floors, and the consideration of SOPA & PIPA has led other western countries to draft similar censorship legislation.
Recently, the United States passed NDAA, defense bill which contained a dangerous provision stating that any person declared a “terrorist” (no definition) or who has aided (no definition) a “terrorist” can be indefinitely detained without trial or charge. This provision was changed to read that only non-citizens could be detained, but another bill, EEA, is hoping to remove the citizenship of any person declared a terrorist.
Even without EEA, NDAA is applicable to current cases, one of which is rather well known. Julian Assange has been called a “hi-tech terrorist” by US Vice President Joe Biden. Many other distinguished figures, including US presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, have labeled Julian Assange an enemy combatant and have even called for his assassination.
Julian Assange’s final extradition hearing will take place on February 1. However broken the system, it will set a precedent and its occurrence will not be ignored. Operation Horizon continues to represent the hopes of those who have become martyrs, those who have been arrested for peaceful protests (both digital and irl), and those who have been victimized by illegitimate governments. We will remind the world that this period of change did not happen by chance, and that the livelihood of the person most heavily responsible for the publication of critical documents is hanging in the balance. Assange’s Feb 1 extradition trial is not about sex crimes; it’s about the possibility of extradition to the US for prosecution as an enemy combatant.
The truth has become the weapon of this information war. Mothers, students, doctors, journalists, you, me, we could all be labeled terrorists if we sympathize with Bradley Manning, Julian Assange, Wikileaks, Anonymous, the Arab Spring, the anti-austerity protesters, Occupy Wall Street & the 99% movement, or with those who fight for freedom independently. Governments which will prosecute journalists and their sources, but ignore the criminals uncovered by the reports have no right to determine who qualifies as a terrorist.
Anyone affected by 2011 has a responsibility to take a stand for free speech, freedom of information, freedom of assembly and a free press.
Stand for you right to change the world.
We are Anonymous
We are Julian Assange
We are Bradley Manning
We are the Arab Spring
We are the 99%
We do not forgive
We do not forget
#OpCartel – courage is contagious….
The movement of Mexican people against the violence and killings that are a part of a reign of terror, can be traced back showing a strong and consistent battle by courageous journalists, bloggers and activists, some of who have paid the ultimate price for freedom of speech, with their lives.
For example this video from four years ago shows the detail which is known , even in mainstream media.
Zeta is a well equipped ruthless killing machine, well trained and with one explicit function, the continued drug cartel smuggling operation from Mexico through to the United States of America and beyond. The cartel is a multi billion dollar industry and as the risk of imprisonment serves as little deterrent when opposed to the slow torture and eventual death from be-heading when faced with the business end of a Zeta Chainsaw.
As the video points out, very few people are aware of Zeta and the terror that they represent.
Move into 2011
Firstly there was the #OpCartel which was cancelled and then re-started as factions and splinter groups debated the safety of taking on a militia style drug cartel that be-heads enemies just to start with. This had become an issue when a member of Anonymous was kidnapped by Zeta. The Anonymous members in Veracruz then put out a video on October 6th, asking for the release of the kidnapped member or they would publish pictures and documents on the Zeta members in Veracruz. On October 29th the Engish Translation mirror was released.
The video below is the English translation mirror which was released October 29th 2011
Over the next few days after its release on You Tube the English Translation video was picked up and featured in at least a dozen micro – blogs and just as many ‘mainstream’ news media publications. At least that many again fed off side articles and links as Anonymous sycophants distracted and shunned and fed twitter from mobile devices as if somebody cared. The internets was buzzing with Zeta and the Anonymous claim of kidnapping and reprisal attacks.
Along the way Barrett Brown , official or unofficial spokesperson for Anonymous and its different operations, came out with a statement which was basically removing Anonymous involvement in OpCartel and that he himself would be taking up the fight having recently come into possession of a cache of hacked e-mails. Barrett then put forward a working model which needed “the Mexican people to get involved”. Of course Brown was vilified as an attention whore, coat tailer who was band wagoning to push his co-written book, which interestingly enough he made in cahoots with Amazon.com which had centered prominently in some Brown-Anon orchestrated Op’s.
Some how this make it okay, sort of like when the Sex Pistols ripped off A& M for £250K in the late nineteen seventies.
Barrett Brown claimed the cache of e-mails were in fact bone fide’ , some of which Brown sent to Der Spiegel for verification.
Even at this point nothing has been heard as a response from Der Spiegel or Brown in regards to the e-mails.
This gave him some extra leverage and bought him some time . Brown then divided his time up between pacing his room whilst on tiny chat and post meaningless tweets about District Attorneys.
The ferocious reputation that Zeta has in Mexico is only re-enforced in a video which exclaims the beginning of OpCorrupcion as a man is be-headed with a chainsaw.
The death of journalists and bloggers was the reason why AnonymousMexico felt compelled to disassociate them selves from the Op for fear of reprisals, which as reality has shown us is a real possibility when blogging on exposing Zeta.
In fact early on in November after the English translation video had been released articles started appearing claiming the Zeta had it own cyber specialists that were working on tracing active vloggers and bloggers with an anti- Zeta agenda.
Zeta will dump the mutilated bodies of enemies with a sign proclaiming responsibility and that this is the punishment for dissent against Zeta.
Taking aim at the Government as opposed to the drug cartel itself.
OpCorrupcion has now been engaged.
The Mexican government is now the target for Anonymous computer “Hacktivists” from around the world.
The video calls for assistance from ‘hackers’ and ‘cyber-activists’ but more so is aimed at the Mexican people themselves to rise up and the show their self determination against the killing and murder that is Zeta. For the Mexican people to feel safe and secure in their own homes and neighbourhoods. Free from fear from extortion or drug smuggling, the continual threat of death and torture.
The Mexican Government is guilty of complicity with criminal organisations and has profited from the continued oppression of the Mexican people as it sought to corrupt and imbalance justice throughout the Mexican Republic.
The statement claims that the Mexican Government has been complicit with Zeta and holds the Mexican Government exclusively accountable for the deterioration of Human Rights in Mexico. It was only a week ago when the site of one Mexican Government official site was defaced and denounced as a member of Zeta. A google search on “Mexican_Government_sites_defaced” brings up dozens of articles about “hacking” and site defacement over a substantial time line.
Is this a defining moment for the movement as the factions coalesce and find a common ground in the fight against systemic corruption in the Mexican Government and the terror fuelled drug cartel Zeta?
For the freedom of the Mexican people it may be a turning point where years of oppression are finally lifted.
