Westboro Baptist Church’s Shirley Phelps-Roper, along with several other WBC members, announced on Twitter Sunday that they would “sing praise to God for the glory of his work in executing his judgment” at the funerals of the Sandy Hook shooting victims.

WBC’s announcement did not sit well with the Anonymous collective, who decided action must be taken.
In response to the WBC’s plans, Anonymous tweeted, “It’s so nice of #WBC to provide the internet with a list of their twitter handles…” Roughly one hour later, they revealed their plans for the WBC: “#WBC GodHatesFags Site Admin gets #DOX’d via: Anonymous.” The group then published a list of WBC members complete with e-mails, phone numbers, and home addresses.
In addition to the DOXing, Anonymous has urged people to sign WhiteHouse.gov petitions to have the WBC recognized legally as a hate-group.and have the group’s tax exempt status investigated. Both petitions already have the required amount of signatures.

Also, the hacker collective UGNazi announced they had taken over Shirley Lynn Phelps-Roper’s Twitter account. After overtaking the account, the group started re-tweeting comments in which users condemned the ways of the Westboro Baptist Church.
